About Alicia Needham:
At the heart of my work lies the belief that relationships are the foundation of our emotional lives. As a Couples, Family, and Individual Therapist, I don’t just focus on the individual’s experience but on how we exist, connect, and grow within the web of our relationships. My approach is centred on the dynamic interactions that shape our emotional and relational well-being.
I am a registered member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the Association for Family Therapy and Systemic Practice (AFT), with years of experience guiding individuals, couples, and families through the complexities of connection, communication, and intimacy. Whether you’re facing relationship challenges, communication breakdowns, or navigating the complexities of parenting, my goal is to create a space where deeper emotional engagement can flourish.
Specialising in emotionally focused therapy (EFT) for couples, I work with partners to mend communication and help them rediscover the language of emotional responsiveness and secure attachment. I believe that love and connection are often masked by conflict or distance, and my role is to help you uncover those underlying needs, fostering a renewed sense of intimacy and trust.
Areas Alicia Needham can help with include:
My journey began in mental health nursing, where I learned to see people in their most vulnerable states. This led me to systemic therapy, where I now work at the intersection of relational well-being. My work is about understanding how these challenges play out in the dance of our relationships and how we can use these insights to foster resilience, connection, and healing.
In our work together, we’ll explore how you relate to others and how these relationships shape your inner world. I hope to guide you toward a space where you feel empowered to cultivate stronger, more authentic connections—with your partner, your family, and yourself.
