I trained as a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor at the CPPD in North
London. Prior to that I studied at the London Metropolitan University, where
I completed my undergraduate studies.
My clinical experience began almost 4 years at the Sangam Centre and
CPPD's Counselling facility in North London, where I helped a diverse
client base with their psychological well being, and I've been running my
own practice for the past year.
I am a registered member of the BACP and all my work is informed by their
ethical framework to protect your needs, interests and confidentiality.
The approach that I use is integrative, which means that I draw upon
different techniques such as CBT, humanistic and psychodynamic, which
may involve exploring links between the past and the present to help you
make the decisions that are right for your future.
As my client, you will remain in charge and set the pace of your own
therapeutic process. There will be moments where I will challenge you, and
offer insights and observations, but in a collaborative and enabling way.
Counselling begins with an initial assessment session which will help both
of us identify issues, and decide whether to proceed and work together. If
we decide to continue therapy sessions, then at least eight sessions are a
realistic commitment, after which we can assess if more sessions are
My specialities include anxiety, depression, abuse and relationship issues.
