With a Masters degree in Counselling specialising in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and Counselling, I achieved further academic certification in the Gottman Couples Method, Schema Therapy, Transactional Analysis (TA) and Brainspotting.
I have worked with individuals and couples presenting with a myriad of concerns such as anxiety, anger and stress management, depression, loss and bereavement, panic attacks and trauma. I use an integrative approach to her relational work with clients who are looking for growth in mindset. I can also help with self-esteem development, life-adjustments/transitions, parenting, relationship and divorce issues.
I believe there is ‘no one size fit for all’ approach in psychotherapy and so in taking an integrative approach, I combine the best of counselling theories in my work. I offer a safe and confidential space to explore any issue that may be troubling you and will work collaboratively and respectfully to increase awareness and strengthen your resources. I believe therapy should empower clients to create the life they wish for. I tailor each couple and individual client treatment according to their needs, helping them meet their resources and motivate them to go through changes and overcome their problems.
Having worked in private practice in the UK and Singapore, I embrace diversity and am more discerning of cultural nuances that might impact different individuals. I see myself as an active guide, who will help and support you through any issue or emotional distress you may face, focusing on the past, present and future as I believe they all play a part in who we are.
My passion is interacting and helping others towards their life goals, offering guidance and support to clients, who are experiencing challenges and distress.
I work with individuals and couples from all backgrounds, using a person-centred approach integrating CBT, Schema Therapy, Transactional Analysis, Solution Focussed Brief Therapy, Psychodynamic, Gottman Couples Method and Brainspotting.
