I am an experienced, Integrative Individual, Couple and Family and Systemic Psychotherapist, and a social worker, registered with the UKCP, the Association of Family Therapy (AFT) and Social Work England. I have approximately 40 years of professional experience in social care and social work. I hold an MSc in Family Therapy and a BA (Hons) in Social Work and Sociology.

I have worked extensively with individuals, couples and families presenting with a wide variety of issues, including substance misuse, conflict and infidelity.

I have experience in and can help with specific issues, such as:

My experience includes working with a range of themes and issues such as:

  • Mental ill health
  • Gender identity
  • Bereavement
  • Adoption and fostering
  • Therapeutic residential care
  • Semi-independence
  • Youth offending

I have also worked with Looked After Children and Care Leavers.

I take a strength-based approach that emphasises relationships, finding alternative perspectives to the challenges people encounter through the course of their lives, rooted in love, hope and resilience.

I offer the diverse individuals, couples and families I support a genuine, friendly and creative therapeutic approach, taking the time to understand each individual and work together. This enables the development of skills to improve patterns of communication, greater relational insights, and more satisfying relationships.

My years of professional experience in social care and social work across a wide range of social groups and issues underpin my therapeutic practice.
