About Louanne Martin
With 15 years of experience as a Relational Counsellor, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals and couples of all ages using an integrative approach. My goal is to actively empower individuals and couples to gain a deeper understanding of themselves as individuals and the dynamics present in their relationships.
I received my training as a counsellor and supervisor at the prestigious University of Ulster and University College Dublin. Throughout my career, I have held counselling and consultant roles working with couples, individuals and organisations.
I specialise and have experience in many areas, including:
In my practice, I am committed to finding the most suitable approach for each person’s unique needs. Whether collaborating with individuals and couples to help achieve goals or providing guidance through uncertain times, I strive to help enrich relationships and enhance the quality of life. As a Therapist, I create a creative and transformational therapeutic environment that provides individuals and couples with the best chance of realising their desired changes. Together, we co-create an emotionally safe and secure space to explore the important areas of life.
I am here to provide the support and guidance needed to address these challenging issues.
In addition to my counselling work, I have had the privilege of writing a weekly column called ‘Ask Louanne’ in the national newspaper, the Belfast Telegraph, focusing on relational issues.
Beyond my counselling practice, I have collaborated with esteemed organisations such as Papyrus Suicide Prevention, Cancer Focus NI, Children’s Brain Injury Trust, and the Royal College of Nursing, further enriching my knowledge and understanding of various aspects of mental health and well-being.
Together, we can embark on a journey of growth and healing. I look forward to supporting you in achieving positive and lasting change.
