What is Neurodivergence?

Neurodivergence describes the natural variation in how people experience, process and interact with the world. It includes identities such as ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, and more.

These differences are not problems to be fixed, but part of the broad spectrum of human diversity. Many neurodivergent people experience challenges, not because of their minds, but due to environments and systems that aren’t designed with their needs in mind.

Therapy can provide a supportive, non-judgmental space to explore your identity, reflect on your experiences, and connect with your strengths.

Supporting Neurodivergent Minds with Therapy

At Leone Centre, we recognise that every mind works differently. We offer affirming, supportive therapy for neurodivergent people, including those with ADHD, Autism and other forms of neurodivergence.

Our Approach

At Leone Centre, our therapists offer neurodivergent-affirming support, which means we:

  • Honour neurodivergent identities and language preferences.
  • Avoid pathologising or “fixing”.
  • Work collaboratively and at your own pace.
  • Prioritise consent, clarity and choice.
  • Understand how masking, burnout and late identification can impact wellbeing.
